Jamal E. Harris is the Founder and Executive Director of the E Train Leadership Institute, where he is committed to preparing the next generation of young men for lives of purpose, leadership, and success. With more than 20 years of experience in education and more than a decade in school leadership, including serving as an assistant principal, Dean of Students, and a school principal, Jamal has dedicated his career to mentoring students, building meaningful relationships, developing leaders, and creating opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
Throughout his career, Jamal has been driven by a simple question: What happens when we give young men not only opportunities, but direction, purpose, and someone who believes in them? That question became the foundation for the E Train Leadership Institute.
Jamal is the creator of the E Train Framework — Enrolled, Enlisted, Employed, or Entrepreneur — a vision designed to equip young men with the character, confidence, leadership skills, and real-world experiences needed to pursue a successful future.
Through E Train, Jamal is extending the work that began in the classroom into a broader movement focused on leadership development, academic growth, career readiness, entrepreneurship, and personal development.
His mission is rooted in one fundamental belief:

And his commitment is simple: to help young men discover their destination, prepare for the journey, and become the leaders they were created to be.

Behind E Train Leadership Institute is a husband, father, educator, and leader who believes that every young man deserves the opportunity to discover his purpose and reach his full potential.
Jamal's wife, three daughters, mother, two brothers, and close family are an important part of his support system and a constant reminder of the value of family, perseverance, and legacy. Jamal will forever be inspired and credits his late father for his spiritual upbringing. His commitment to young people extends beyond the classroom. He believes that leadership is built through relationships, accountability, opportunity, and the willingness to invest in others.
After more than two decades in education and leadership, Jamal remains committed to helping young people recognize their potential and prepare for their futures. Jamal seeks to help young men explore possibilities, develop essential skills, and build pathways toward meaningful and productive lives.
As the Koolest Principal, he also brings these conversations to educators, school leaders, parents, and communities through speaking/conference engagements focused on leadership, educational excellence, and empowering the next generation.
